New York Comic Con 3-day Tickets Sold Out!!

New York Comic Con 3-Day tickets are officially sold out. I knew this was going to happen once the tickets was available to buy at 12pm est today. However, the single day tickets are still available. Be warned, many of the guests show up Saturday and Sunday. If you want to buy single day tickets, I strongly suggest buying Saturday tickets first and then Sunday.

Here it is people. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay teaser trailer. The rebellion is happening and Present Snow is trying to calm it down with pretty but threatening speeches in his creative fashion. Katniss and other rebels will have non of that. Not anymore. If we burn, you burn with us.

Teen Wolf Fans on the East Coast - Howler Con!!

Calling all Teen Wolf Fans!!

Howler Con November 14-16, 2014 is coming to Elizabeth New Jersey. It is a con dedicated to the popular MTV show Teen Wolf. If you are on the east coast, this is a big treat for you. The guest list is already rolling out as Holland Roden (Lydia Martin), Melissa Ponzio (Melissa McCall), Eaddy Mays (Victoria Argent), Orny Adams (Coach) and many more will be attending this event.

Regular ticket prices will be announced soon as the tickets will go on sale July 1st. However, they will have special VIP packages like Super Moon, Blood Mon and Full Moon. I have that funny feeling they will go out quick.

New York Comic Con 3-Day and Single Passes Sale June 26!!

New York Comic Con 3-Day and Single tickets go on sale this Thursday June 26, 2014 at 12pm est. People if you are going or thinking about going, grab your tickets now. 3-Day tickets will be gone, probably under an hour like 4-day tickets. Saturday Single Day tickets will be sold faster then any other single tickets since many of the main guest shows up on that day.

Many people did not acquire 4-Day passes last week as they was waiting in the queue for over an hour. Just a hint, make sure you have good connection and less people on the internet wherever you are, trying to purchase your tickets. Every little bit counts.

So Many Conventions!! 

June 19-22, 2014

What's up everybody, yes Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con is tomorrow. Planning this weekend without pulling my hair out is going to be a challenge. I am still running around trying to figure out what I want to cosplay, because I don't have everything to fully complete my outfit. I want to cosplay the Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who, but I don't have the brown trench coat, so I might just wing it without it. I also have a little Tardis outfit I'm putting together I want to wear too. I just need to buy a blue wig, hopefully one that is already cut short. I tried to cut a wig before and lets say I feel sorry if I have children in the future and they need a trim. 

Before I get to the convention, I'm going to stock up on food, snacks and water. I wouldn't recommend buying anything inside the convention because the prices are crazy. Technically, you can buy cheap food in downtown Philadelphia, and won't cost you an arm and a leg. The Gallery is right down the block outside of the convention. You can buy food at the Food Court or McDonald's right across the street. But if you want a variety of fast food, eat in the Gallery or bring your own food. 

Expectations verses reality to meet celebrity guests and get into panels. I know many people believe they are going to see all the celebrities on their list at the convention. In my experience, I've made plenty of sacrifices to see one celebrity over another. I do want to see Matt Smith and Karen Gillan. However, without a guests VIP pass that cost too much money, my expectations of seeing them are slim. If I can get into the panel that would be fantastic. If I can't oh well. I'm not sitting in line for 4-5 hours just to see Smith and Gillan. That's not going to happen. I rather enjoy the convention at that point.

I'm just warning many of you guys now, expect extremely long lines for celebrities you want to meet. Just like you would wait for a ride at an amusement park, it's the same thing here. Please arrive two hours early to wait in line. I hate to say it but nobody wants to hear you complain thinking you will get into a panel if you stood in line for 30-45 minutes. It's a high possibility the staff will cut the line off at the door. Two hours is a safe window. However, I would say scope out the lines way before the panel's time, to get a feel how people are desperate to wait in line for a particular guest, like Matt Smith and Karen Gillan.

Wow that went fast!!

New York Comic Con VIP and 4-Day passes are sold out. The VIP tickets took under 3 minutes and 4-Day passes under an hour to be sold out. I'm glad I got my ticket. My work internet deserves mad props today. I was sweating bullet over here. If you didn't get 4-Day passes, you can still get 3-Day passes and single passes when that is available to the public. I will keep you updated on that information.

Lena Headey Teaching Jimmy Kimmel How to Talk Game Of Thrones Style

Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister on the Game of Thrones, was on the Jimmy Kimmel show showing him how to talk in a civil tongue GOT style. The entire interview was hilarious as Headey pulls off her Cersei character like a pro. If you are a Game of Thrones fan you will love this.

If you are a book fan of The Mortal Instruments series, she portrayed Jocelyn Fray in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie.

Watch Teen Wolf Sneak Peek 4x01

Watch a sneak peek of Teen Wolf season 4x01 as Scott is being tortured of the whereabouts of Derek. I'm just seating here waiting for Kira to unleash the fox on these guys. Hopefully she doesn't electrocute everybody in the room while doing it. We are still unsure how much control she has over her power on a greater scale when innocent bystanders are in the way.

The Magisterium Series: The Iron Trial 

Principles of Magic 

Fire want to burn.

Water wants to flow.

Air wants to rise.

Earth wants to bind.

Chaos wants to devour.

When I went to BookCon in May, I had the privilege to get an early copy of The Magisterium: The Iron Trial by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare. As they explained during their Epic Storytelling panel (Watch Panel), both authors wanted to change it up in this fantasy book series of children going to school to learn how to control their magic or face the horrible consequences if they do not comply to the Magisterium rules. Sounds frightening for a school which is where we have Callum Hunt.

Callum or Call, is a twelve year old boy who lives an ordinary life with his father Alastair Hunt. Call is very conscious of his left leg which is shorter then the other one because of an injury he sustained as an infant. A lot of his anger comes from others looking down on him or feel pity because of his disability. This sometimes makes Call an outsider among his peers. It's one of the reason why he has a witty personality to hide his sadness at times.

A big part of Call's childhood is the warnings his father repeats majority everyday to him. Never trust a magician or allow them to take you to The Magisterium. Because of the past, Alastair wanted Call far away from magic as possible. Unfortunately, Call encounter with bullies made his magic abilities more apparent. Because magic runs in the family, all Mage children must take a test to see if they qualify for Magisterium school.

All Call had to do was fail the test, a plot his father and him agreed upon when the time came. Well...Call did fail the test as according to plan. However, he was still selected to become an apprentice to attend the Magisterium School. Under the tutelage of Master Rufus, Call was selected with two other children named Aaron Stewart and Tamara Rajavi to make a team.

During his time at the Magesterium, Call learns to harness his magic, makes actual friends and learn the horrible past battles about the Mages which included his father and mother.

My Review:
Now that I explained a little about the first book in the Magisterium series, I'm excited to read the next book. Holly and Cassandra knows how to mix up a fantasy story when dealing with complicated characters and there chosen path in life. Some fantasy YA story like to follow the same blue print at times. You get a chosen child hero, lose parents because of horrible past, have no friends, have great power inside them, saves the day and everybody is happy. Maybe 2 out of 7 is true about Callum as the great twist at the end changes the game about his future at the Magisterium school.

Call friendship between Aaron and Tamara will be tested of how long he can keep a dark secret from everybody or suffer the consequences if he tells a soul, especially Aaron continuing in the book series. To not spoil anything major until the book is released, I would recommend you pick this book up when it is released September 9, 2014.

The Magisterium Series: The Iron Trial I give it an 3/5.

Awesome Con just released 2015 passes today. So excited right now as next year is going to be awesome. If you buy your tickets before October 1st, you get $15 off 3-day Geekend passes. Just type in "earlybird14" for the coupon code. To get $10 off for Saturday passes, type in "earlysaturday14".

However, guest VIP passes have not been announced yet but regular VIP passes are available. Unfortunately unlike last year, regular VIP passes will not get line privileges in 2015. Awesome Con said they are saving that for guest passes only.

New York Comic Con 2014 Ticket Details

So this is basically the price for New York Comic Con 2014 tickets. If you are confused for what Pre-Show only means, it means the price of the tickets before the event. If the tickets doesn't sell out, and you buy the tickets onsite, the price will go up.

I would recommend buying the tickets Wednesday June 18, 2014 at 12:00pm est when the tickets are available to purchase before 3-day and 4-day tickets are gone. You don't want to be stuck buying individual tickets if you are attending more then two days. I've been down that road and it cost me an arm and a leg last year. Just a heads up, normally Saturday tickets are sold out the most before the other tickets. If you can only attend one day, make it Saturday when all the main guests are there to do panels, autographs and photoops.

The VIP Special Access Package tickets will only be $195 each. The VIP Ultimate Access Package tickets will be $485 each. The VIP Ultimate Access Package is the ONLY package where you can cut in line for panels/autographs/photoops lines. The VIP Special Access Package only get you into the show floor early and that's really it. So it's best to stick with the 3 or 4-day passes to save a couple bucks. Like last year, once your tickets are purchased, they will be sent through the mail in September. Please make sure your address is correct when you buy the tickets.

Furthermore, NYCC have decided to clear out the Main Stage after each panel. If you was there last year, it was a mad house. I actually thought it was unfair for people to see certain panels but can't get in because of attendees wanting to stay for a different panel several hours later. I'm extremely glad they decided to take this course of action from the many complaints they had last year.

Keiynan Lonsdale as Uriah in Insurgent

Ladies and gentleman we finally have our Uriah played by Keiynan Lonsdale. This handsome Australian actor is set to to join Shailene Woodley and Theo James in Insurgent which begins filming this summer and Allegiant part 1 & 2 in the Divergent Series.

Those that have read the books, this is going to be a hard one in the Allegiant movie. If you didn't read the series, what are you waiting for. Veronica Roth Divergent series, is fantastic that will bring you too tears with each character you get attached in the series.

What do you guys think? I like the choice. Going to watch Dance Academy TV show to get a feel of Lonsdale acting chops, to see what he will bring to Uriah one of my favorite characters in the books to the big screen.

Doctor Who: The World Tour!!!

Now it's time to freak out. The Doctor Who World Tour is coming to a country near you. Peter Capadi, Jenna Coleman and Steven Moffat will attend events and media interviews to promote Doctor Who Season 8. This will be the largest promotional tour in Doctor Who history as they will travel to London (Why not), Seoul (South Korea), Sydney (Australia), New York (USA), Mexico City (Mexico) and Rio De Janerio (Brazil). The tour will begin in UK August 7th and finish in Brazil August 19th. 

Due to promotional commitments, Steven Moffat will be unable to attend all the events. More information will come soon on what cities he can attend. More Info Click here

Fort Fandom will be attending the event in NYC (USA). Hopefully, there won't be a lot of strings to pull for us to see the 12th Doctor up close and person. Fingers crossed as more details is revealed about this event.

Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con Tickets Almost SOLD OUT!!

Wizard Wold Philadelphia Comic Con is next week and the tickets are selling out extremely fast. 4 -day passes are gone and Saturday is almost gone as well. They only have a limited amount of tickets for Saturday and that's when majority of the guest will be at the convention for panels, photoops and autographs. If you still want to go on all four days, you can still do VIP passes which are $250 but it comes with a lot of perks. If you do individual passes, you will be paying more money. I would highly recommend those that are coming to this conventions, and have not acquire there tickets yet, to do so now. The guests that are coming this years is going to be amazing. Ticket Info

Teen Wolf season 4 begins Monday June 23rd.

These villains look pretty badass. Then again one or none could be a villain in season 4. They still look awesome either way especially the skull monster.   

The Simon Lewis Chronicles

Cassandra Clare just announced Simon Lewis will get a short story just like Magnus with The Bane Chronicles. I wonder will this short story be after the events of City of Heavenly Fire in The Mortal Instruments series. I know some of you guys know what happens to Simon in COHF, so it would be interesting what his life would be like after it.

What is ya'll opinion on this? Would you like her to explore other minor characters that didn't get enough sunshine in the series? This could include any of her other series on the character you choose. I personally would love a short story on Johnathan Shadowhunter of how everything started. That would fascinate me the most and also I love Medieval Times.

Cassandra Clare COHF Book Tour Philly Experience

May 30, 2014 Cassandra Clare celebrated COHF book tour at Stetson Middle School at West Chester Philadelphia hosted by Chester County Book and Music Company. The entire event was fantastic and well organized. Unlike some, in my opinion the location of the event was perfect in Philadelphia. It kind of weed out a possible huge crowd if it was more towards downtown of Philadelphia.   

The Q&A was held in the school's auditorium as I sat right in the front for once (pays to get to the event early).  The host Jenny Han was great asking Cassandra questions, kept the Q&A very entertaining and loved the kiss one, marry one and kill one game the rated G version.The crowd in the audience loved it. The game became more complicated towards the end., as Cassandra showed off her good nature side with her answers. It was perfect.

During the Q&A, Cassandra had some swag for the audience if anybody answered some of her TMI and TID book questions. She gave out the limited edition The Shadowhunter Tarot Cards made by the awesome Cassandra Jean, and also hoodies with the Angelic rune on the back. For some odd reason, I was drawing blanks for these questions so I didn't get any swag. 

However, when I got my book signed, I asked Cassandra when will the tarot cards be released to the public. She had one more tarot cards pack left and secretly slipped it under my book. I wanted to fangirl hardcore at that moment, but I had to become Elsa from Frozen and conceal it inside. I told her thanks, grabbed some more TMI swag on a small table on the stage and then walked off. I was jumping for joy inside when I got the limited edition of the tarot cards as I walked to my car. Now if anybody want to buy the tarot cards, there is no specific date of when it will be released. Cassandra hinted maybe November or sometime next year.
